Keep Able

About allied health roles.

Helpful resources on a range of allied health roles, explaining how they support wellness and reablement, how to check their credentials, and when to refer clients.

Did you know that there are 13 allied health disciplines identified in the CHSP service catalogue?

Are you confident that you know:

  • How each discipline supports wellness and reablement?
  • How the disciplines are similar or different to one another?
  • What specialisations exist within each discipline?
  • What the training and registration requirements are for each discipline?

The Allied Health Hub is here to help! These resources can support multiple outcomes in the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.

This includes Standard 3: Care and Services, as they empower coordinators to identify reablement opportunities and refer clients effectively.

These resources also support Outcome 2.9: Human resource management in Standard 2: The Organisation by helping providers ensure that their allied health professionals are:

“… skilled and competent in their roles, hold relevant qualifications for their roles and have expertise and experience relevant to delivering quality funded aged care services.”

If you work in your organisation’s human resources department, you can use these resources to develop job descriptions and comply with regulatory requirements. At the same time, you’ll gain a better understanding of allied health and its central role in wellness and reablement.
