Keep Able

About.

Keep Able is a free digital platform with practical resources that help those working in community aged care to support older people in leading safe, independent lives.

Keep Able was created by the Sector Support and Development team at Independent Living Assessment (iLA), a not-for-profit organisation based in Western Australia.

We share trusted, evidence-based resources to help people working in community aged care, and anyone who supports older people to stay independent and live well. Our team of subject matter experts is here to help you build the skills and confidence to put wellness and reablement into practice every day.

Please note, while iLA is funded by the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing (DOHDA) through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), the material here does not necessarily reflect the views or policies of the Australian Government.

Values

There's a new way to think about ageing

It’s time to move beyond a passive care model that does everything for older people. Our approach embraces prevention, independence, and active participation through wellness and reablement,

because real wellbeing comes from staying involved in daily life. Through practical, trusted content, we help you enhance the lives of older people and shape a more progressive approach to ageing.
