Online learning for wellness and reablement
Wellness and reablement approaches are an integral part of empowering older Australians to actively participate in happier, healthier, and independent lives. These short, interactive modules provide tips and learnings based on authentic experiences, which can be applied by learners to empower those they support to live independently for as long as possible.

Module: Communicating Wellness and Reablement (updated)
This module is focused on helping you to understand the differences between ‘Traditional’ home care and Wellness and Reablement approaches and provides information about Wellness and Reablement strategies.
You will also learn ways to communicate and reinforce these strategies to help your clients stay at home for longer.
Module: Overcoming Resistance to Wellness and Reablement
In this module, you will see what some of the barriers are to reablement approaches, and understand why some clients may resist a wellness and reablement approach. We show some practical tips for you to work collaboratively with your clients by using effective communication strategies in real case scenarios to help promote their acceptance of reablement.
Course: An evidence-based tool to promote Reablement
This course contains two modules:
Module: Introducing LifeCurveā¢ – Part 1
In Part one, we will introduce the LifeCurveā¢ as an evidence-based tool to promote reablement and explore how it can help home support providers discuss reablement with their clients.
Module: The Power of LifeCurveā¢ – Part 2
In Part two, we will demonstrate how the LifeCurveā¢ can be used with clients for assessment, goal setting, support planning and motivation for reablement.
Module: Everything you do for me, you take from me
In this module, you will be asked, “How often do you think about the demands and benefits of activities you do every day?” There’s a lot of complexity involved in getting dressed, driving the car, writing a shopping list or just going for a walk for example. The ageing science is clear ā healthy ageing is achieved by being physically, cognitively and socially active.
